The latest and best Australian racing snippets, tips, picks and news from the team @hotbets365
Keen to play on Friday 18 August
With such a big weekend of racing ahead of us we have spent a lot of the last 36 hours talking and thinking about Saturday but let’s not forget we have four good meetings to pick apart on Friday. All 4 meetings look good betting meetings and come to us from some really good tracks to be punting at too.
We will be issuing some tips throughout the day via our Twitter feed as usual and we might even get time to do up a few previews. Stay tuned!
#BredToWin strikes with another 20/1 winner!
How does that saying go?….”When it rains, it pours”. Hearing that would make you think it is a bit of a rarity to hit big priced winners with such consistency but we have been doing it for years. You only need to troll back through our close on 5000 tweets to get the idea. YES! it is pouring again this week. After 2 winners at double figure odds on Wednesday we were at it again on Thursday issuing Freez’emoff as the tip in Race 3 at Northam to our Twitter followers. He won at the handsome odds of 20/1. Mind you there was plenty of odds above the 20/1 mark available too throughout betting!
Some early Saturday snippets and tips
Our analysts have been busy across Wednesday evening and again into Thursday going over some of the good betting races for Saturday early. We will be posting snippets of some of the good early betting mail for Saturday to our Twitter feed. You can follow it all live here in one seamless stream.
Saturday coverage starts now!
Spring is really in the air this weekend with the running of the PB Lawrence Stakes card at Caulfield and the Warwick Stakes card at Randwick. We are kicking off our coverage by releasing our Blackbook list of runners for the 5 city meetings around the country. This is just an appetizer for what we have planned over the next few days leading into Saturday.
Youbetcha we declared it at a #Surefire collect at 13/1
Hoodlum Thunder wasn’t the only runner winning for us at big price on Wednesday. We put up a detailed preview of Race 7 at Balaklava under the title “Surefire Collect At Balaklava”. The title of the post said it all. We were very bullish about collect in this race.
Youbetcha was the runner we were really keen on at the big odds of 14.00 / 4.20 and the lightly tried 4yo So You Think gelding battled on strong holding sway in deep stretch after changing stride and dipping midstretch.
#BredToWin runner scores at 26/1
From the outset we were bullish about a big day on Wednesday with our analysts highlighting a number of good quality chances at double figure odds and it was the a 1st starter in Race 2 at Belmont that provided the biggest winner of the day when Hoodlum Thunder sat outside the leader and went clear to win like a 1.80 shot.
Gearing up for Thursday 17 August!
There is 4 meetings on around Australia on Thursday and from initial inspection we are fairly keen on a number of different races at Gosford, Sale and Northam. The other meeting on for the day in Mackay in Queensland but we are unlikely to spend too much time on that meeting.
Whats on for Wednesday 16 August?
We are fairly keen on the Wednesday action around Australia on 16 August. We have spent a fair bit of time dissecting the Quaddie at Sandown and there is value galore to be had there.
We have a top rated contender in Race 9 on the card at Sandown that goes around as a 14.00 / 4.20 chance in early fixed odds betting. That is on the back of another big value affair earlier in the Quaddie where we have it down to two major chances in Race 7 on the card, one of them goes around as a 25/1 pop!
Race 1 at Belmont is also a very nice betting race to kick off a strong looking card over in WA. It is definitely a race worth getting involved in.
Punters that follow us regularly know only too well we come up with plenty of big priced winners, many of them identified from a breeding angle where the merit associated to their form profile is well hidden. We will be highlighting some more #BredToWin runners on Wednesday. Follow them live throughout the day here.
We will also be covering racing from Canterbury, Balaklava, Belmont and Doomben.
Punters looking for a early heads up on some of the major chances coming up throughout the day from our Blackbook can access the full list of runners for the day right here.
Stay tuned for further updates on how the whole days is shaping in general right here and also dont forget to use our Twitter feed as the best way to know when we have posted new tips, previews and information live throughout the day.
We are taking on Royal Symphony in the Caulfield Guineas!
We all know too well the boom surrounding the undefeated Royal Symphony which is 5/1 in early markets for the Caulfeld Guineas. We nearly fell off our chairs when he was put up such a short quote so far out from the race.
We have taken the time to put together a full explination explaining our reasoning for being so boisterous in opposing Royal Symphony in the Caulfield Guineas.
