Debut Runner Tudor Prince Is Bred To Win – Goulburn Race 1 Preview

The opening race on the card from Goulburn on Saturday shapes as a very weak 1300m maiden for the tag on offer and hence a very winnable race for any horse with a hint of ability. Tudor Prince looks to have clearly more than just a hint of ability and at the big odds of 8.5 / 3.5 each way it is worthwhile backing with a mild degree of confidence to find out.

Goulburn R1 #4 Tudor Prince 8.5 / 3.5 – very well bred type by All Too Hard out of the G1 winning Redoute’s Choice mare Allez Wonder, 2yo colt on debut for the astute Robert & Luke Price yard and takes on older horses, go on very good trial 3rd on 15 Nov 2017 when close up 0.9l 3rd to Fortification with a big margin to 4th, hard to get a line on the bare form out of that trial but there is enougfh snippets there to suggest this one is well up to winning a provincial maiden and against this grade of tried and tested older maidens he should prove hard to hold out in deep stretch with a likely soft trip on the front end, goes around at the very good each way odds of 8.5 / 3.5, very good value each way despite only 2 place dividends when taking into account we have it rated on top as a 3.80 chance.
