Splitz Ready For Ipswich Blitz

There are a few big confidence #BankerBet opportunities to take advantage of on Friday and one that is definitely worth backing early before it shortens up too much further in price is Splitz which goes around as the 2.60 favorite in Ipswich Race 4 after being backed in from an opening quote of 2.90.

Splitz is a 3yo gelding by Sepoy from the Tony Gollan yard. He is on debut here taking on a fairly decent field for an 1100m Maiden at Ipswich on a Friday but he has shown blistering speed at the trials to win both his official trials by no less than 4 lengths on each occasion beating some good form reference horses in the process.

He is bred to be well above average by Sepoy out of the Zabeel mare Snow Blitz who herself is an unraced daughter of Golden Slipper winner Polar Success, that is the same cross (Zabeel over a Success Express mare) that produced Cox Plate winner Savabeel.

The pace scenario suggests Splitz can go straight to the front for Robbie Fraad from the 5 alley without having to work too hard and attempt to make all. Perfect scenario for a tight turning Ipswich circuit.

Tony Gollan has been desperately unlucky saddling 1 winner and 6 seconds from his last 13 runners. Overall the yard is flying and we expect them to get Splitz home here and step back up into the winners circle.

Splitz goes around as a 2.60 chance. We have it rated clear on top as a 2.30 chance so minor overs are on offer about this big confidence betting proposition but it has already been backed in from 2.90 so get on now to secure the price.
