Darwin Cup Is A Done Deal

The $200K Darwin Cup is by far and away the best quality race in terms of class to be run anywhere in Australia on Monday and as Race 9 on the card you can be sure there will be some serious money wagered on the race. As far as we are concerned…its already a done deal. There is only 2 winning chances in the race and we can back both of them with big confdidence for a winning result across the race.

One title we initially were going to use for this story read something like “What Price about Egg Tart in the Darwin Cup”. You see the horse we have as the clear top elect here Billet Doux has a comparable form line back to recent Schweppes Oaks & Queensland Oaks winner Egg Tart. Billet Doux goes around as a 4.00 chance, Egg Tart would be a 1.40 shot in this race.

The other big chance here and major danger is another lightly tried staying prospect. Folk Tales is by Stravinsky out of a Zabeel mare and carries that desired NZ suffix we like to see in our staying prospects. A stayer on the make is definitely what he looked the way he put Spartan Eagle to the sword 2 starts ago scoring by a widening 4.5l over 1600m.

Both #12 Billet Doux 4.00 & #13 Folk Tales 9.00 look minor stakes quality stayers on the make, that is hard to say about anything else in this race, furthermore they are both thrown in at the weights. Back them both to win for a big result across the race.

Darwin R9 #12 Billet Doux – 4 units WIN @ 4.00 & Darwin R9 #13 Folk Tales – 2 units WIN @ 9.00

The Darwin Cup looks a two horse race. We’ve got big confidence about Billet Doux & Folk Tales. They should fight the race out.
