Late Mail Australia for Monday 12 June

After a highly successful last week including Mansab 70/1 into 20/1, Funny Buddies 20/1 and Chocante 20/1 we look to continue the winning run early into the new week with another session of Late Mail for Australian racing on Monday. Three good meetings are set down for coverage from Warwick Farm, Mornington and Murray Bridge.

Mornington R3 #9 It’s A Diva 15.00 / 4.00 – overly well type by Stratum out of a Fusaichi Pegasus mare who herself is out of the 3 time Melbourne Cup winner Makybe Diva, got back to last on debut and was doing its best work through the line when 4l 9th at Moe, prior to debut produced a soft trial 2nd to Judson over 1190m on heavy going, 4th and 5th out of that trial have since franked the form, winkers go on 1st time, has good scope for more as a lightly raced prospect and fitter now with 1st time winkers, warrants nibbling at on an each way basis at the good odds of 15.00 & 4.00 each way.

Warwick Farm R3 #6 Varese 7.50 / 3.20 & #7 Come On Vogue 12.00 / 4.70 – potential very good value betting affair here, Varese is very well bred by So You Think out of a Flying Spur mare, won a trial at Randwick prior to debut over Abatha and Patrician, strong form reference, doing best work through the line when 4th on debut 2 starts ago, total forgive run last time out, scope for plenty more here being so lightly raced, interestingly Tommy Berry booked while Rachel King rides shorter priced wide margin trial winner Flying Dee Jay for the same stable, the other one worth backing here is the Waller trained Come On Vogue, penny seemed to drop when 2nd to Solar Cry in a trial in preperation for return here, by Stryker out of an Encosta De Lago mare, looks to have come on since spelling as breeding would suggest, back both Varese (major elect) & Come On Vogue (minor elect) for a result across the race.

Murray Bridge R3 #2 Lucapa Diamonds 4.00 – well bred lightly raced improver by Charge Forward out of a Redoute’s Choice mare, 2nd dam is the high class stakes producing and performed mare St Therese (Dehere), comes into this race having its 4th career start on the back of breaking her maiden tag at Mildura last time out by 2.2l, put good gaps back through the rest of the field in a dominant display with the form out of the race stacking up strongly for what it takes on here, likely to secure one of the runs of the race from the good alley, ticks all the right boxes, clear cut top rated contender, we have it marked up as a 2.70 chance so good on offer as a 4.00 chance.
