AFL Preview Friday 3 June, Metricon Stadium, Gold Coast vs West Coast, 1:45pm

Gold Coast Suns are a big chance of rolling West Coast at Metricon Stadium as the 2.24 outsiders.

We have a very interesting encounter on our hands here between two sides who a very hard to get a gauge on in 2017.

Both are coming off last start losses in games that where seemingly theirs for the taking at different stages throughout.

Gold Coast had Melbourne on toast at half time and looked all but home to only not show up after half time and go down without a fight.

West Coast where defeated by an under maned GWS on there home deck in a game they where favoured to win.

West Coast will be without spear head Josh Kennedy whilst they regain two vital players in Mark LeCras and Luke Shuey.

Gold Coast will welcome the return of Gary Ablett and Matt Rosa who both bring a wealth of experience and talent into a young Gold Coast outfit.

The last time Gold Coast played at home they dismantled Geelong and that form line now looks very good with Geelong winning their past 3 games.

West Coast have lost their last two including a 61 point drubbing by Essendon at the MCG.

Gold Coast will be a different side with Gary Ablett in it this week and we can see them walking a lot taller back at their home ground.

West Coast are very up and down and rarely perform when playing away from home.

With that being said we like the value angle here and will be backing the Gold Coast Suns to win. They might be too sharp for the Eagles who might just be short of goal scoring power with Josh Kennedy out of the side.

Back Gold Coast to win @ $2.24 (betfair)
