Bjorn Baker takes his well bred Snitzel 4yo mare Hamiko to Gosford on Thursday in search of an elusive maiden win. She goes around in Race 2 on the card as an early 1.80 favorite in fixed odds markets. Its not often we will suggest taking odds-on about a horse but this is a super weak race from a form perspective and she ticks all the right boxes. She should win!
Gosford R2 #8 Hamiko 1.80 – very well bred type by Snitzel out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Geisha, comes into this race 3rd up from a spell at peak fitness now on the back of finishing 0.9l 3rd at Hawkesbury last time out, looked like it was ready to go right on with it prior to the start of this preparation the way it put a small trial field to bed winning by 3.3l at Warwick Farm, overall depth of this field is very weak and Hamiko is likely to get a soft trip on the front end, clear class runner on exposed form and ticks all the right boxes, offered up at 1.80 early fixed odds which is what it should be, no major advantage at the 1.80 but very hard to see it getting beat, one of the good things of the day.
