Late Mail UK for Wednesday 31 May

Following on from a strong display with Australian Late Mail on Wednesday including 4 winners from 6 races at Ipswich we look to continue the winning groove in the UK with another edition of our Late Mail service. Follow us right across Wednesday as we get through Beverley and Nottingham during the day followed by meetings from Ayr and Kempton on the AW.

Also remember to tune in for our Full Card Preview of the meeting from Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Wednesday evening.

Nottingham 2.50 #3 Wahiba 4.40 & #1 Roman Holiday 10.00 / 2.80 – excellent confidence betting race to kick off proceedings in the UK on Wednesday. Wahiba was very impressive winning last time out at Yarmouth over 7f by 2.7l, won with a bit in hand and made all, drop back to 6f suits, lightly raced and plenty of scope for more, top rated contender, only seen danger to the top rated Wahiba is Roman Holiday another lightly raced type who comes into this race 1st up from a spell on the back of winning two on end at the tail end of last season, by Holy Roman Emperor and breed tend to keep improving from 3yo to 4yo seasons, looks the major danger and clear 2nd elect, back at 10.00 in support of the top elect Wahiba which can be had at 4.40.

Beverley 4.00 #2 Palmerston 2.90 – very hard to go past the chances of the 4yo Oasis Dream gelding Palmerston, dam has already got the lightly tried high class Listed winner Martlet, comes into this race 4th up from a spell totally at its peak now after a high merit close up 2nd to Alejandro last time out in a strong form race over this track and distance, looks the inform proven class runner who offers up minor scope for more having only faced the starter 16 times, already above the level required to win here, we have it rated clear cut on top as a 2.50 chance so the 2.90 on offer is good overs about this high confidence win betting proposition.

Beverley 4.30 #8 Dream Free 8.00 / 2.60 & #11 Bromance 15.00 / 3.20 – this looks a very good value betting race and one that is well worrth getting involved in, Dream Free is bred to be smart by Oasis Dream out of a Selkirk mare and last time out before spelling showed signs of turning the corner when a big merit 5l 5th to Coarse Cut over the extended 12f at Kempton, this looks a perfect target over 10f for a 1st up tilt, if it has improved to any degree may well treat these with contempt making the 8.00 seem like dream odds, the one that is worth backing in support of the top elect is Bromance who produced a career best effort 2 starts ago close up 1.5l 2nd to Swansway in what has developed into a good form race, also unlucky that day when not clear at a vital stage in deep stretch, good overs on offer at 15.00 & 3.20 to back each way in support of Dream Free which is 8.00.

Nottingham 4.50 #2 Plage Depampelonee 5.50 & #4 Ladofash 7.50 – good confidence betting race here where there is only 2 seen real live winning chances so we can back them both here for a result across the race. On top we have the very very well bred Plage Depampelonne and she is a 3yo filly by Redoute’s Choice out of a Monsun mare, having 2nd start of 2017 and overall 4th career start on the back of a good merit 6l 2nd to Pleasant Surprise, big scope for more having 2nd start over this trip fitter now with big natural improvement from its last start as well, excellent value as the major elect at 5.50, the only seen major danger to the top elect is Ladofash the Canford Cliffs gelding who gets in only 2lb higher than 3 starts ago when it broke its maiden by 4l at Wolverhampton, anywhere near that level again here and it will test the top elect, back in support at the good odds of 7.50.

Kempton 6.20 #1 Iballisticvin 4.80 – shapes as one of the good things of the day and well worth waiting around for, overly well bred Rail Link 4yo who comes into this race having its 1st start of 2017 off a career mark of 11-3-6 and really hit peak form tail end of last season winning 2 on end at Kempton and Brighton before only beaten 0.5l each of last 2 starts when could have been over the top, only needs to come back in that vein of form to prove super hard to hold out here verse a field of tried and tested stayers, likely to have come on significantly 3yo to 4yo season being by Rail Link, excellent value being offered up as a 4.80 chance, we have it rated as a 2.40 chance. Back to win with a good degree of confidence.

Ayr 7.10 #7 Black Isle Boy 3.70 & #8 Dawoodi 21.00 / 4.50 – good confidence betting race here with Black Isle Boy the clear cut top elect but it is also worth backing Dawoodi on an each way basis at the big odds on offer. Black Isle Boy has won both of his starts since returning this season and looks to have plenty more to offer here, good speed pedigree by Elzaam (Redoute’s Choice) out of a Selkirk mare, the clear cut major elect, Dawoodi is having its 1st start for 2017 and only 5th career start and is bred to be smart by Exceed And Excel out of an In The Wings mare, first 2 career starts including 0.5l 2nd to Colonel Frank at Ripon over 6f with a 7l gap to 3rd suggests it is well up to a race of this nature, not the strongest race for the tag on offer outside the top elect of course so if it doesnt fire Dawoodi may surprise at the big odds of 21.00 & 4.80. Back each way in support of the top elect.

Also remember to tune in for our Full Card Preview of the meeting from Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Wednesday evening.
