Redcar Preview for Monday 29 May

We venture to Redcar (UK) on Monday for a full card preview of the meeting and we have a few decent opportunities from a win betting perspective to sink our teeth into that we are fairly confident about.

Redcar 3.00 #5 Visitant 3.30 – very well bred type by Pivotal out of a Medicean mare who comes into this race having only its 6th career start and 2nd run this term, was highly impressive last start scoring a widening 5l margin over 10f at Ayr when quickly putting the issue to bed in a very dominant display, 2nd up now fitter and being such a lightly raced staying prospect there is likely plenty more to come, despite rising 10lb in the ratings still looks clearly the best of these. Can be backed as a 3.30 chance early fixed odds which is decent overs as we have it rated as a 2.60 chance.

Redcar 1.15 #1 Black Salt 4.50 – good speed pedigree by Equiano out of a Shamardal mare and has the best exposed form of this lot going on its last start 2nd to the potential well above average Yalawan, held sway over a decent type in 3rd franking the form with a big gap back to 4th, we have it rated as a 3.00 chance so the 4.50 on offer is good overs.

Redcar 3.35 #3 Ashkoul 17.00 & 4.60 – lightly tried staying prospect of French origin by Tamayuz out of a Darshaan mare, having 4th run of 2017, total forgive run last time out vs stronger, showed signs 2 starts ago was acclimatizing well since shipping over from France, looked a potential minor stakes quality stayer on the make 6 starts ago when 0.7l 2nd to Tamelly who came out next start and finished 2nd at Listed level to the high class Darabad, franked that form winning 2 starts later at Nancy over 10f, ready to peak now with the addition of 1st time blinkers, best exposed form suggests it is the one to beat here and still has potential scope for more, excellent value as an each way prospect at 17.00 & 4.60 considering we have it top rated as a 4.70 chance.

Redcar 1.15 #1 Black Salt 4.50 & #7 Foxtrix 11.00 – enough depth in the betting market here to back both of the top 2 seen chances for a result across the race. Black Salt has a good speed pedigree by Equiano out of a Shamardal mare and gets into a race lacking a lot of depth here, good hidden merit associated to wide margin 2nd to potential smart type Yalawin last time out and got the better of good yardstick Wild Acclaim in 3rd with a big margin to 4th, 2nd up this term now and sure to come on for that effort, the clear top elect on exposed form and decent overs as a 4.50 chance in early fixed odds betting, Foxwedge 1st starter Foxtrix is a likely type on breeding with this Australian bred son of Fastnet Rock getting his fair share of winnings to NH time and they are definitely training on as 3yos. Foxtrix gets the services of a good 5lb claiming hoop and is bred for this sort of trip top abd bottom being out of as Royal Applause mare, at the 11.00 on offer back in support of the top elect Black Salt for a result across the race.

Redcar 2.25 #2 Poet’s Reward 10.00, #9 Princeofthequeen 17.00 & #10 Flawlessly 13.00 – got a feeling the bookies have got this market wrong, we have got it down to 3 major seen chances and we have a decent level of confidence that we have got this race right, we can back all 3 of them for a result across the race. Poet’s Reward is better than it’s last start 3rd indicates, take that run out of its form line and it would be much shorter than the 10.00 on offer early, Princeofthequeen gets 1st time headgear for its 1st run of 2017 and has the form from the start of its 2yo season in 2016 to suggest it is right up to this grade, the big value contender at 17.00, Flawlessly hasnt done too much wrong finishing 1l 2nd at 3 of its 5 career starts and it set the benchmark here from a current form perspective, definite overs at the 12.00 on offer. Back all 3 of these contenders for a result across the race giving an overall return of 3.30 to 5.60 depending on which one salutes.

Redcar 3.00 #5 Visitant 3.30 – by Pivotal out of a Medicean mare who is a half sister to G2 German 1000 Guineas winner Briseda who is also by Pivotal, also highlighted as the meeting Best Bet above.

Redcar 3.35 #3 Ashkoul 4.60 – qualifies as the Value Win bet earlier up this page, for a more detailed analysis see that part of the preview, anytime we are getting odds like the 4.60 on offer here and we have it top rated and it should be about 2.00 for the Place then it has to be hard to top as the Place Best bet for the card.

Redcar 2.25 #9 Princeofthequeen 4.50 – qualifies as the 2nd top rated contender in this race and one of only 3 real seen winning chances that rate clear of the rest, deceivingly well bred by Lonhro out of a Miswaki mare and is 1st up this term with 1st time head gear applied, both of first 2 career starts in 2016 suggests well up to a race of this nature. Being offered at 4.50+ in Place markets and realistically should be about 2.10.

Redcar 2.25 #7 Suwaan 4.20 – takes on a field full of types that are well above the level required to win a race of this class, this one is 3rd up after only an average win for the tag on offer 2 starets ago followed by a close up head bobbing 3rd last time out in a small 6 horse field, scope for more is questionable, priced up as the early 4.20 favorite and in our minds is a big false favorite!. Lay with a strong degree of confidence.

Redcar 1.15 #4 Valley Of Rocks 2.30 – not in the top 3 rated contenders for us in this race and the form out of its last start 2nd is questionable, 3 others rate clearly infront of it with good speed pedigrees. Priced up as a 2.30 favorite which is big unders. Happy to risk as the Value Lay.

More to follow.
